Following extensive testing, some large worldwide mining, construction and contracting companies are switching to Rockmore’s new tapered-button bit design. By allowing for regrinding, the design provides for significant advantages over single-pass, cross-type bits.
One mining company reported that after testing 50 units of the new Rockmore design, the tapered-button bits performed better when measured against cost per meters drilled. While the initial price tag is higher, Rockmore’s product has outlasted competitor products by five to six times in life expectancy.
A CEMIN group of mines in Chile currently uses the tapered-button bits exclusively after testing revealed better overall economy and bit quality.
Since 1948, Rockmore International’s rock drilling tools have enhanced and strengthened mining, construction, tunneling, and quarrying projects around the globe.
